PLÅNETARY MUSIC MOVEMENT
On November 8th at 7 PM, Stéphane Clément and Nicolaus Gelin presented Ressonnance: Capturing Serenity, an immersive sound experience in the heart of Crown Heights. This performance is part of the Groupmuse Foundation’s Planetary Music Movement (PMM), a curated initiative that celebrates and amplifies the artistry of Black musicians and composers through intimate performances.
Ressonnance is renowned for creating spaces of vibrant frequencies and intentional stillness, offering attendees a sanctuary for inner peace, emotional release, and connection. This collaboration with PMM invites audiences to experience the unique energy and nurturing power of Ressonnance’s soundscapes. Curated by cellist Dara Hankins and saxophonist Alfredo Colon, PMM provides a platform for artists of African descent to share diverse musical traditions in unconventional spaces. The evening transported listeners beyond the ordinary, fostering connection through the profound act of mindful listening.
